Material
La Source works exclusively with wood sourced from local tree surgeons within 25 km of the sawmill. Trunks are bought, sawn into slabs, and carefully prepared to meet each client's needs. Local material, handled with care, taken all the way from raw trunk to workshop-ready plank.

Working Environment
Based in Brabant Wallon, Belgium, La Source operates as a small, hands-on micro-sawmill built around local sourcing and a wide range of wood services. The workshop handles everything from raw trunk to finished board, adapting each step to the specific needs of each client. It is a place where wood is taken seriously, and where the investment in the right tools directly shapes what is possible to offer.

Services
La Source's offer goes well beyond sawing. With the addition of the Mekanika Fab, the workshop now covers planing, jointing, straight and curved cutting, pocket routing, sink and cooktop cutouts, and engraving. One machine, one setup, a full service range. Clients come with a need, and La Source can meet it, whether the job calls for a flat, precise board or a custom-shaped component.

Machine Setup
The Mekanika Fab is, in Joffrey's words, "the purchase I regret the least." It took what was already a functional sawmill and turned it into a multi-service workshop. Setup takes around five minutes per operation. Once running, the machine works on its own. Longer jobs mean more autonomy, and more autonomy means better profitability.
