Roldan is a co-founder and CEO of Mekanika. He studied bioengineering in environmental technologies at UCLouvain. Originally from Arlon in southern Belgium, he started his career in Rome before settling in Brussels.

At Mekanika, Roldan leads the company's strategy, operations, and commercial development. While Maxime and Martin build and design our machines, he focuses on growing the team, structuring the business, and bringing our tools to artisans, makers, and entrepreneurs across Europe. His background in bioengineering and social entrepreneurship shaped our founding vision - that manufacturing processes should be open, sustainable, and locally empowering. He is driven by the conviction that open source hardware can be both a viable business model and a force for changing how things are made.
